2007 Ford Freestyle Factory Remote Start Module

Have one, new in box, Ford specified remote control: 7L2Z19G364AA for the Freestyle chassis. Purchased back in 2010 to install, and only got the Code Antenna installed. Car was sold recently after 310,000 km for $1500 still in full function condition. :( Purchased 2012 Chevy Equinox with low mileage...

Re: 180,000km and my CVT is done!

So 4 years later, and the "style" is still on the road. 260,000km and all the other items will be about time to fall off. Been a great ride though, and will be sad to see it go. Here's hoping....

Re: 180,000km and my CVT is done!

And it seems nobody wants to sell an intake manifold from a good Duratech? and salvage yard's [SGI] won't sell emission parts, so it's 500 for the manifold, and 900 for the front pre-cat. Anybody got any more nickles and dimes? I'm just about run out.....

Re: 180,000km and my CVT is done!

Wish the gravity thing was an option, but went ahead and ordered the Used Tranny, had it installed, and then the road test, which revealed a problem with the Cat's. One of the front ones, disintegrated, and plugged the final up. Couldn't get more than about 25kmh out of it on the road test, and stal...

Re: 180,000km and my CVT is done!

Had a Ford dealership where we bought the car, check it out. They did a metallurgical test, and found that both the chain and pulleys were wearing. So long story short, don't slip your tranny. In mud, snow, or at the "christmas tree". Of course we did none of the above! Finally found a used CVT FWD ...

Re: 180,000km and my CVT is done!

Oh, that sucks. You should call a few auto salvage places, I know when I contacted one place in Regina they were able to locate a bumper I was looking for out of BC. So some places have access to a national database of parts. Just a thought. Good luck. Yes, already tried SGI, and a few in-province ...

Re: 180,000km and my CVT is done!

i have no ideas but i'm truly sorry about your experience at 180,000km (112,500 miles).......i'm shocked it will cost as high as $7,500 for a transmission??? that's really scary. forgive my asking, but do you know if a H.P. Filter and Fluid change at just over 100,000 miles could have prevented thi...

180,000km and my CVT is done!

The word is official. After spending $1100 to repair a burnt intake manifold, and EGR/MAP assy, the service center is convinced that my CVT is slipping. Or the Sensor[s] A & B on the pulley's are out of step? Was kind of hoping that the Load tables being out of whack, was upsetting the tranny comput...

Re: TC & ABS lights came on.....

vader33 - Your issue is different. Search on "lung*" or "surg*" (for lunge, lunging, surge, surging). I think it has also been called 'uncommanded acceleration' - I got a chuckle out of that one. It is not related to floor mats (ala Toyota), but cleaning or replacing the Throttle Body has cleared u...

Re: who has the most miles ?

[quote="dmckmc"]The symptoms you describe of no power and inability to maintain speed and 'cutting out' or 'misfiring' happened to mine just before it became undriveable (the hole got bigger). quote] Thanks for the feedback. It must be that my leakage is just marginal, because the idle seems perfect...

Re: who has the most miles ?

Catalytic converter clogged (final, just in front of muffler) - I knocked out all the substrate and has been running fine ever since The blocked catalytic converter caused a hole to melt in the intake manifold via the EGR valve which resulted in a new intake and EGR Just a question about the drivea...

Re: Roof Rail Whistle?

One way to narrow down the noise, is to be creative with some duct tape. Try applying it along the outside of the rails in the suspected area, bridging the gap between the rail and the roof line, then go for a test drive. Sometimes it will change the level, intensity of the sound, or even identify a...

Seems like a nice car, just hope it's reliable.
Some on the Taurus X board refer to it as the T-Rex. See if that gets some back-looks!
