Re: When to proactively replace serpentine belt?

My tensioner seized around 109k , causing the belt break and cut the camshaft position sensor wire. Nightmare at midnight ,with a $200 tow and $300 to fix damages. :x

Re: $8.98 Transaxle Roll Resistor Replacement

either you have the mount backwards or you have a large shift in the engine , which prevents it from lining up. Check the other engine mounts for wear. You can also lift the engine with a jack to maybe help align the holes ,but this will put more force on this mount , so you will need to find out wh...

Re: Mystery noise - not bearings or tires

my "input shaft" was done almost 4 years ago. And when it was done , the master tech wasn't happy to have it take 5 days to do.He preordered the parts listed in the TSB but parts to "rebuild " take time if something else needs to be replaced. He said he had "Fun" learning the CVT,but Bays at the deal...

Re: Noise at Park and Neutral......nerve wrecking....

I have read here that you have the dreaded "input shaft" noise Africa_FS_07! The question I have is if the noise just started and its apparent you WILL have to change out the CVT (as no input shaft replacement is available). Why are you looking to drop the CVT now? Why not just drive it until it tot...

Check for cracks or complete separation of TRR. Then replace, there is no time frame just as needed . Good Luck

5F9Z74406A11AA-Left
5F9Z74406A10AB-Right

Don't know why the parts for left & right are different ,as is the price.
Check for worn serpentine belt pullies or tensioner pulley
Hope this helps

Re: Toyota to pay $1.1bn

DBW problems have plagued volvo since 1999. Many Volvo owners complained of surging in their cars , so I guess Volvo/Ford incorporated the "Limp Mode" well into the CPU. Which looks to have"Saved" Ford from expensive recalls or lawsuits.

The parts are the same , 9434288 is for Meyle parts and 9434263 is for Uro parts . Just different part companies , so different part #'s. Go with the cheaper , you will be good. Thanks

Re: $8.98 Transaxle Roll Resistor Replacement

I took my roll resistor out this weekend and filled it with 3M Window Weld. I bought it new about 3 years ago and it had cracked already.
Did you replace with the original Ford TRR or the "ghetto $8.98" fix?

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been around , Been busy with work. Re: Brakes and Instrument Cluster Brake Indicator questions.

You are fine, the specs given by Ford are for the tech's . I know many people that go below that min. measurement and they are fine. The rear pads should last a good 10k-15k miles before you will need to replace again. Just order the Rotors to change next time, no rush. Good Luck IDS
