Re: 2018 source for a hood deflector for a new-to-me Taurus X?

Could try www.greensalescompany.com as they sell obsolete Ford parts. I think there are some other sources like them but usually the others deal with really old parts (from decades ago).

Re: Correct Oil Drain Plug Replacement Part Number?

p.s. The oversized one you do not want unless required. That means some gorilla overtightened the drain plug and stripped the threads. That means you need to drill & tap a larger size than stock.

Re: Correct Oil Drain Plug Replacement Part Number?

Did you look at Dorman's own site? You could also lookup @ RockAuto to see. If it's cheap enough, just buy one of each so you have the right one.

Re: Trailing Arm / Lateral Link

Jacking won’t help. Perhaps use a pry bar to push things together so the hole lines up??

Re: P2195 CEL

I don't think that will help you. Look for one with graphing capability. I recommend BlueDriver @ https://amzn.to/2wDgfwx that's my go-to scan tool. It does a LOT.

If I was you, I'd put in the correct O2 sensor from the Ford dealership. Aftermarket sensors may be inferior.

Re: P2195 CEL

Did you use a Ford/Motorcraft sensor? https://www.obd-codes.com/p2195

Use a scan tool to watch the live readings of that and other sensors.

It's been quite a few years since they made these vehicles and not many people hang out on forums when they're vehicles are working properly ;)

Re: Recently bought a ford freestyle Blue smoke

See https://www.obd-codes.com/p0420 The blue smoke is only kinda sorta related to the P0420 code. The p0420 is telling you that the catalytic converter isn't performing at optimal efficiency. Were there any other diagnostic codes? Converters don't fail, they're killed. So don't replace it until you ...

Re: 2018 Ford Freestyle What Was Ford Thinking?

That thing is tiny in comparison. Ford was thinking that they’ll never bring the Freestyle back to the US so they have a nameplate to use :? . India is a huge market.

New 2018 Ford Freestyle in India

Wow some news you might have missed... as you may or may now know, two of the biggest upcoming world markets are China and India. Well, in India, Ford has introduced the Ford Freestyle nameplate. ford-freestyle_827x510_41517385316.jpg Official Ford of India Freestyle page: https://www.india.ford.com...

Re: O2 Oxygen Sensor? 06 Freestyle P0133 P0138

The sensor likely needs replacing but if you have access to a scan tool you should monitor live sensor readings to see what's actually happening. Do not buy a cheap aftermarket sensor IMHO, stick with Motorcraft. Check RockAuto.com to confirm part #s.

Re: Start then no start 05 Fredstyle

First thing I'd do is verify the electrical connections at the battery terminals, starter, and ground(s). You might also want to scan for diagnostic codes in case there are any. Sometimes you can tap the starter with a hammer (not too hard) and it can cause it to work. If that's the issue then you s...

Re: Front Subframe Hole

What's the hole from? Rust? Is it actually a structural/safety issue or just cosmetic?

http://www.car-part.com is a junkyard locator service that is very handy, I've used it a few times. I'm not sure that subframe would be a listed part but it's worth checking.
