Re: Anyone install "brake controller" wiring?

Thank you Sir, but I was refering to the Brake controlers. The wiring you installed, (and you did a great job) is what and exactly how I did it, THANK YOU! But the tent trailer we are going to buy has electric brakes and the car needs to have the brake controller unit installed. •Controls any trail...

Re: Second row bench seat stuck

This seems to be the single most complaint with this car. Mine also does this and there are a ton of threads about it. I just live with it. In fact, I will sell my FS (2005) and get a 2009!

Re: For those that have changed the CVT high-pressure filter

I guess I'm too stupid by change the fluid first and refilled it then after it is done and ready for the filter, I realized that I should not add the fluid before change the filter. Oops, what should I do? drain it again, maybe the fluid is still ok. The new filter will catch anything that happens ...

Re: Detailed 60k cvt service

Yeah I agree. But my time is valuable being military so although I feel a sense of accomplishment doing my own normal maintenance, there are certain things like even oil changes that are just not worth the hassle when the cost of oil and filter cost almost as much as the services itself. However, I ...

Re: Detailed 60k cvt service

I was on another forum and there use to be a detailed how-to with pics about the 60k cvt service. Is there any on this one?? Thanks... For this pain-in-the-ass job, it is well worth the money to pay to have it done. Mine cost $180 but I didn't have to sweat, bust knuckles, nothing. Some things are ...

Re: Change CVT filter at 60K?

The place I went to (not a Ford place) said that the filter is normally good for 120K. I believed him for 3 reasons: 1) if he was dishonest, he would want to change it to charge me, 2) he showed me a Ford paper that had guidelines on the CVT filter replacement times, 3) it was a knowledgeable transm...

Here is a bug thta I have been meaning to bring up to you all. When you go to links either posted on home page or in forums for threads, they always take you to page 1. This needs to be corrected so that when a new post is up and you click the thread, it takes you to the last page rather than clicki...

Re: Who has the highest mileage

now Im thinking of keeping it. My 05 FS is sitting at home while I am in Iraq. I did the tranny change 10K miles ago out of paranoia. Cost me about $200 but it was peace of mind. Thought about selling it for a 08-09 model or Flex. Then I seen the Flex fuel ecomomy! Hell no!

Re: Towing Package on an '08 T/X

yeah I have a Class-III hidden hitch and towed WAY more than I probably should have! I towed the biggest enclosed u-haul trailer they had and filled it up. Drove it from NY to FL with no issues. I just made sure not to gun it or strain it but I'm betting there was much more than a 3K back there. I w...
