Re: A/C issues - problem persists after replacements

Sounds to me like the problem is with the air diverter system under the dash. Does rear AC work?

You replaced the scroll valve in a new compressor?

Re: Steering wheel/airbag removal

All I can tell you is that you just gotta fiddle with it until it gives up and comes out. They are finicky. I have more trouble getting them to engage and hold the air bag in place when I am putting it back on than I do taking if off.

Re: PCM replacement

That is a very sticky wicket. You will need a dealer or other provider with the proper software to reprogram those modules with your VIN. Why are you replacing the PCM?

Re: Front AC vs. front and rear AC?

I live in Texas and I run the rear AC on low all the time. It's better for the system if there is some air flow across both of the evaporator cores.

Re: PCM replacement

The PCM is under the hood underneath the cowl panel. You will need to remove your windshield wiper arms and the endpieces where the cowl panel meets the fender. Then the cowl panel is held down by several silver clips which face the engine, just slide them off with a screwdriver. PCM is on the right...

Re: CVT transmission Lawsuit

These cars are over 10 years old now and you want a free transmission? I think your best move at this point is to buy a Chevy.

Sounds like a vacuum leak on bank 1 (closest to firewall IIRC).

Re: Horn

It's behind the grille on the left (driver's side). It bolts to the core support.

Re: Leaking sunroof?

I don't have a sunroof either but I remember reading on here way back that if you leave the car parked with the nose up (such as on a hill) that water can collect at the rear of the sunroof where the roof hikes up causing a leak.

Re: TFT SENSOR

The TFT sensor is integrated into the Mechatronics unit and is not serviceable by itself, so you would need to replace the Mechatronics unit. You can do that with the trans in the car, tho.

Re: Swap 500 6 sp into Freestyle possible.

On that note, did we decide the lights were caused by the difference in vin's between the modules?
Well that's what I've concluded, anyway. I think I am the only guy on here who has done 2 of these AND gotten the lights to go out in both.

Re: Disable traction control

Surest way would be to remove the driveshaft.
