Re: Some insights on replacing the CVT transmission

I did not move my ABS stuff at all, I just moved the master cylinder as you see it is attached by flex lines. Do you have water pump and water pump mount removed?

Re: Some insights on replacing the CVT transmission

Thanks I’ve seen your post and read it many times but see that it makes no mention of the PTU.
That's because my FS is not AWD.

Re: Driver side mirror returns to default position ...

It doesn't matter where the key is. Have you tried to program button #2? Perhaps #1 is on the fritz?

Re: Some insights on replacing the CVT transmission

If you will go to page 7 of this thread, I list out the things that need to come out of the FS to pull the trans out the top:

Re: Driver side mirror returns to default position ...

Have you reprogrammed the "1" button on the door to your preferred settings? You have to do that first, and then the fob you program into memory first will be assigned to button #1, and the second fob you program will be assigned to button #2. The fob does not know the seat/mirror settings, the seat...

Re: How to turn off interior lights w/lift gate open at drive in

However, I figured it out!! You have to trick your car into thinking the hatch is closed. You do this by pushing the mechanism in the door that latches up until you hear two clicks. familycircus' instructions say to do that above, which was posted in 2010. PRO TIP: When I do this, I always seem to ...

Re: MY AC went off when I hit a bump

This forum is for 2005-2007 Ford FreeSTYLE, not Freestar.

Having said that, it is for sure electrical. The front and rear A/C uses the same sealed system, so if your rear A/C is working, then the sealed system (ie, freon) is not the issue.

Re: How do I disable the chimes?

The chime module is built into the SJB so I don't think you can just yank it like on older cars. I have disabled the seat belt chime in my FS using the procedure in the owners manual. The key-in chime I disabled by pulling the brown wire out of the harness coming from the ignition key lock cylinder ...

Re: seat belt chimes

Instructions to deactivate the chime are in your owners manual or posted above by pltdford. Either that or you gotta yank the chime module but I think it is built into the Smart Junction Box (SJB).

Re: Driver side mirror returns to default position ...

Is yours a Limited? It might have a memory setting that is tied to your key fob. We had an Expedition once that had memory seats, and the mirrors were in on that gig. When I used my key fob, it would set the seats and mirrors to my setting, and then it would go back to my wife's setting when she use...

Re: Rattling noise ~2krpm, could it be fuel pump?

Even if it was the fuel pump, it would not be speed (engine or road) dependent. The fuel pump runs the same speed all the time.
