Re: Shaking at stops

I recommend cleaning over buying a new one. The aftermarket ones are crap and the Ford ones are $$$. Just remove it, use a can of TB cleaner spray and an old toothbrush to remove all the crud. It will not hurt it to open the butterfly valve with your fingers to get it all clean. Disconnect the batte...

Re: Erratic Climate Control

If it was mine I would buy a used controller on eBay. They are pretty cheap.

Re: Car vibrates while driving on freeway

Sounds like a miss under load, although very hard to tell from my keyboard here. I will say the only time I got that code, it was the sensor that was at fault. It's very easy to change out, it's on the fuel rail over on the right (passenger) side close to the PS pump. It's black with an electrical c...

Re: Storage compartment top middle of dash

I'm doing this partially from memory so I hope I have this right - you do not need to open the door on that compartment to remove the entire thing. You just grab the bezel below it (with the a/c vents and radio in it) and pull it toward you which will reveal two 8mm screws that you remove. Then you ...

Re: Start engine (while in the car) without transmission?

You won't be able to do that as the starter mounts to the transmission bell housing.

Re: Some insights on replacing the CVT transmission

I did not move my ABS stuff at all, I just moved the master cylinder as you see it is attached by flex lines. Do you have water pump and water pump mount removed?

Re: Some insights on replacing the CVT transmission

Thanks I’ve seen your post and read it many times but see that it makes no mention of the PTU.
That's because my FS is not AWD.

Re: Driver side mirror returns to default position ...

It doesn't matter where the key is. Have you tried to program button #2? Perhaps #1 is on the fritz?
