Hello, forgive me if I'm missing a thread on this. I have a 2007 AWD Limited, and it's due for new tires. I know that having 18" wheels can really make things expensive. I'm wondering what places have good deals on tires, that are good quality, that anyone can recommend? My husband was saying we should try BJ's, since we have a membership. I just was curious if anyone had any recommendations for good quality and prices. Thanks in advance!

Kathy

I bought the Michelin MXV4 18". 20 thousand miles and they still look new. Very quiet and smooth ride. Sam's had the best price in our area (ordered online and delivered them to the store). Also $70 rebate at the time.

I went the same route, and have 22k miles on the Primacy MXV4's and couldn't be happier. Almost like new, and the nasty feathering and cupping I got on the factory Pirelli's (that's doing the same thing on my Montego) is long gone - these are smooth as silk in terms of ride, noise, and wear. I figure these will last 80k miles or more at this rate. They might be a few bucks more, but they're certainly worth it!

Awesome! Thanks so much for the input. I am going to research the products Sam's and BJ's offer and see what deals are going on, too. My hubby would be so excited to get tires that work that well with a rebate. LOL! :D

Not sure where you're at in NH, but I buy all my tires at Maynard and Lesieur in Nashua - they price match the local stores, and give you an all-inclusive price for the install. And they have the proper skillset and machinery (including a Hunter Road-Force balancer) to make sure the tires are smooth and vibration-free on the highway. They also honor all of the rebates that manufacturers offer, including the Michelin one.

We bought General Altimax tires for ours. Much less expensive than the Michellins and I like them a lot. 14K miles on them and they are wearing well. Quiet, and good handling too.

We also have General Altimax on our 06 Limited. They run smooth and have good wet traction.
