Help! Help! The last 2-3 times it rained the front passenger floorboard in my car has been filled with water. This water is not coming from the door! The door and floor near the door is completely dry. The seat is dry, the door pocket is dry, everything is dry but the lower part of the floorboard where the soles of your feet would rest if you are sitting in the seat with your knees bent. The 'top' of the floorboard is dry, where your feet would be if you stretched your legs out. My coworker, a shade tree mechanic, showed me how the plastic molding at the bottom of the windshield had pulled away from the glass on the passenger side. Pinestraw, oak droppings, etc. have collected under the molding and I (we) think it needs to be replaced. This is the piece of trim that the bottom of the wipers fit through. What is this called? Has anyone else had this problem? :?:

If you have a sunroof, check/blow out the drain tube.

How do I do that? I don't even see a tube? Also, forgot to add, this flooding happens when the car is sitting in the parking lot at work. I haven't driven in the rain much lately to notice it then, but I would think it happens then also.

Or could it be the air conditioner drain hose is plugged as well. Laying under the passenger side of the vehicle after driving for a while should show a hose that is wet/dripping, but slightly plugged and causing overflow into the passenger foot area. If is the case carefully pushing a light guage wire up into the hose and working it around may free up the blockage.

Is these any type of drain under the hood that should be checked? The car has never been on when the flooding occurred, that's why I think it has a leak. Only happens when it rains hard.
